32 bit or 64 bit witch should i use
What processor do you have? If you have a Athlon 64 or an Intel 64 bit CPU, you'd get better performance with the 64-Bit version. The weak side to that, is even less driver support than what is available right now, which is limited quite a bit. It is improving every day, though.
Otherwise, use the 32 bit. You can use the 32 bit version on the 64 bit CPU's as well.

It depends on your needs. I would read this excellent white paper by Windows MVP Charlie Russel - Is Windows x64 right for me? http://download.microsoft.com/download/B/8/6/B868C664-13FC-4F91-9651-5B6D4F1A2F60/Is_Windows_XP_Professional_x64_Edition_Right_for_Me.doc
Top things to take in consideration, all hardware device drivers must be 64-bit, so make things like your USB Based devices, printers, scanners 64 bit native to work. 16 bit applications do not work either, some applications utilize a 16 bit installer, so make sure your application is either full 32 bit or 64-bit. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

If you have a 64-bit capable machine and two available partitions, do both. Otherwise, do x86.
